Original intellectual property

Something of
our own.

The stories, characters and worlds we create form the foundation of the studio. Developing them in depth gives each work a life of its own, and the substance to grow into other forms.

02 / How we develop the work

Look closely.
Make people care.

We begin with observation, research and a question worth exploring. Writing gives it characters, conflict and consequences. Visual development and music help shape how that world feels.

From idea to form

Making the world tangible.

Writing, image, sound and technology each offer a way to explore an idea and shape what comes next.

01 / PEOPLE & SYSTEMS

A city that works
beneath the story.

In Sunlight in the Asylum, a data labelling shift, a boxer’s livelihood and a politician’s money trail reveal different parts of Nairobi. The systems matter because people live inside them.

02 / AN IDEA MADE PHYSICAL

An institution
you can laugh at.

Plantation Drive explores extraction, digital colonisation and the changing value of human work through a surreal workplace where the promise of progress conceals familiar systems of power.

03 / FORM & FEELING

A song that opens
onto a world.

In Fireball, music leads into character, costume and a cinematic world where religion and technology intertwine. The imagery extends the song’s atmosphere and questions.

Each new form should give the audience something more to discover.
